Help Us

From Cheryl Swope | December 25, 2018 | Faith, Michelle’s Poetry

For Christmastide, Michelle’s poem:

Help Us

Save us now,
God’s chosen race,
From this unglorious
Sinister place.

A mean allotment
Is our view
From sin, distraction,
Bereavement too.

Save us now,
By Your mighty hand,
Lead us now
To your chosen land.

Dismay, despair,
Keen alloy,
Plot to take
Our every spoil.

Spare us, Lord,
And with Your grace,
Lead us where
We will be safe.

Angels hearken
Now to see
Rain has fallen
Over thee.

God be with us
In Thy quest.
Here comes Jesus,
Eternal rest.
